Like plants, we also obtain food from animals. The animals that produce milk are  called Milching aimals. Poultry includes birds which provide food in the form of eggs and meat.

FOOD CHAIN
This is not exactly a chain!!!! The sun is the main source of energy. The transfer of energy when one organism consumes another forms a sequence or a foodchain. Have a look at the video and answer the following questions in your notebook.


  1. Define a Producer and a Consumer?
  2. Draw a food chain of your own and label the producer, primary consumer, secondary consumer and the tertiary consumer.
  3. Name any two Apex consumers.

Now that we have come to the end of the chapter, you may attempt the Formative Assessment on Page 13 in your textbook itself.
